Heartopia’s multiplayer mode lets you farm, fish, explore, and build together with friends. This advanced guide covers everything beyond the basics — co-op strategies, trading economics, guild management, cross-platform play, and making the most of social features.

Multiplayer Modes Recap

If you’re new to multiplayer, start with our Basic Multiplayer Guide. Here’s a quick recap:

ModePlayersDescription
Visiting1-4Visit a friend’s town, no impact on your world
Co-op Farm1-4Work together on a shared farm
Party Quest2-8Team up for special multiplayer-only quests
Festival Events2-20Participate in seasonal events with other players

Advanced Co-op Strategies

Shared Farm Optimization

When playing co-op on a shared farm, divide roles for maximum efficiency:

The 4-Player Dream Team

RoleResponsibilitiesBest For
FarmerPlanting, watering, harvestingPlayers who like routine
FisherAll fishing + fish cookingPlayers with patience
ForagerWood, stone, ore, bug catchingPlayers who love exploring
Social / CookNPC gifts, cooking, quest turn-insPlayers who enjoy variety

With this setup, a 4-person co-op group can generate 3-4x the Gold of a solo player in the same amount of time.

Co-op XP Sharing

  • Hobby XP: Each player earns their own XP for activities they participate in
  • Farming XP: Only the planter gets XP. Take turns planting to share XP evenly.
  • Quest XP: All party members get full quest XP
  • Achievements: Each player unlocks achievements independently

XP Tip: If one player is lower level, have them do the planting/fishing to catch up faster.

Co-op Stamina Tips

  • Stamina is individual — each player has their own stamina pool
  • Take turns doing high-stamina tasks (chopping, mining)
  • Cook together — one person cooks while others gather ingredients
  • Share stamina food (but only between trusted friends!)

Item Value Reference Guide

Use this as a baseline when trading with friends:

Rare materials50-300 Gold40-250 Gold
Crafted furniture80-1,500 Gold60-1,200 Gold
Event-exclusive itemsN/AHighly variable

General Rule: Player-to-player trades are usually 70-80% of NPC store price. The seller gets more than selling to NPC, the buyer pays less than buying from NPC — everyone wins.

Safe Trading Tips

  1. Only trade with friends you trust: The trade system is player-policed.
  2. Always double-check: Verify the items and Gold before confirming.
  3. No “trust trades”: Don’t give items first and expect payment later — always trade simultaneously.
  4. Take screenshots: If a trade goes wrong, you have evidence for support.
  5. Beware of “too good to be true”: If someone offers a legendary fish for 10 Gold, it’s probably a mistake or a scam.
