While the Museum initially displays only fish, bugs, and fossils, reaching higher levels in the Painting Hobby allows you to unlock the Museum Art Gallery Wing. Curated by Professor Liora and Caspar, the Art Gallery allows players to donate their best custom paintings, host temporary themed exhibitions, and earn daily visitor rewards.

Unlocking the Art Gallery Wing

The Art Gallery Wing is located on the second floor of the Town Museum, situated opposite the fossil library:

Painting Level 5 Required: Raise your Painting Hobby level by completing sketches and studio easels.
Caspar’s Recommendation Quest: Complete Caspar’s traveling quest “The Local Color Palette” to receive Caspar’s recommendation scroll.
Liora’s Approval: Talk to Professor Liora at the museum front desk, turn in the scroll, and pay 3,000 Gold to open the Art Wing.

Donating Custom Paintings

Once unlocked, you can occupy the gallery’s blank display frames:

Donation Process: Approach an empty display frame, open your inventory, and select a framed custom painting.
Size Matching: Large frames require 3×3 Master canvases; medium frames require 2×2 Studio canvases.
Retrieval: Donated paintings are permanently locked into the museum archives, but you can purchase a duplicate replica copy for your home plot using Museum Coins.

Exhibition Rating & Visitor Coin Rewards

Every day at 06:00 AM, the museum calculates your Exhibition Rating based on your donated paintings:

Rating Criteria:
- Frame Quality: Gold frames grant higher ratings than rustic wood.
- Pigment Rarity: Paintings made with rare hybridized flower dyes (e.g. Red Rose, Blue Cosmos) gain a +20% score bonus.
- Thematic Match: Placing paintings of similar color themes adjacent to each other triggers a Color Harmony score boost.
Exhibition Rewards:
- Reaching 500 gallery score awards you 50 Museum Coins daily (sent to your mailbox).
- Exchange Museum Coins at Liora’s shop for exclusive wall murals, premium paint pigments, and the Master’s Easel blueprint.
