Heartopia features a fully interactive Music Hobby, allowing you to play real notes on a variety of instruments, unlock classic and cozy sheet music scores, and perform ensembles with other players in multiplayer co-op. This guide explains how to get started.

Unlocking Musical Instruments

Instruments can be placed in your home plot as decorative items or held in your hands to play anywhere in the world.

🎹 Grand Piano: Purchase the blueprint from Builder Bob’s store for 25,000 Gold. Craft it using Hardwood and Iron Bars at your workbench.
🎸 Acoustic Guitar: Available from General Store Ka Ching for 8,000 Gold once your Guild Level reaches 10.
🎻 Violin: A rare reward unlocked by reaching friendship Level 4 with Mayor Atara.
🥁 Hobby Drums: Available during the summer seasonal event or purchased from the town plaza merchant.

Purchasing & Playing Sheet Music

While you can play freeform notes using your keyboard or touch screen, you can also load Sheet Music for guided playing:

Obtain Scores: Talk to Blanc in the Botanical Gardens. He runs the Town Archives and sells classical and cozy sheet music scores for 500 - 2,000 Gold each.
Activate Score: Equip your instrument, open the Music Menu, and select your purchased score.
Rhythm Minigame: Notes will fall down the screen. Tap them in rhythm to play the song flawlessly and earn Music Hobby EXP.
Multiplayer Ensembles: If two or more players stand in a party, they can select “Joint Ensemble” from the music menu. The game will sync your note tracks so you can play a duet together.
